John Kerry enlisted in the USN after graduating from Yale. He enlisted with Dick Pershing, from the famous Pershing military family (who was KIA) and Fred Smith who later founded Federal Express (will make the money grubbers jealous).

Lt. Dan also graduated from an Ivy League university and was commissioned in the USMC. My only daughter was born during my second tour of duty in RVN. My wife is deceased.

Why aren't all of you brave young men running to the recruiters office to join in Junior's glorious war to protect the USA and the world from terrorism? You have your chance to take part in modern history but choose instead to spew half-baked right-winged diatribe. You must have the courage to back up your convictions. If you enlist, your current employer must rehire you if you return. If you are married and have a family then you must fight to secure your family's future if everything that Junior says is true. What are you waiting for?

I might not believe in much of what you say but have and will fight to protect your right to say it.

Semper Fi,

Lt. Dan

I did my time in the USN, jarhead.

I doubt they would take a 42 year old up on re-enlisting at this point, even if I had the inclination to sign back up.

Although I don't think I quite qualify as the right-winged diatribe spewer, only a person attempting to refute some of the worst and most obvious leftwing diatribes.

Were you an affirmitive action graduate??
your above statements are the most stupid remarks i have ever heard from somebody that might not work sweeping a floor in a bookstore and wear a nose ring.
Any American citizen should demand from its goverment under the constitution to be protected to go about its buisness and be protected from enemies both foregin and domestic....One is not forced to go into the military. Its ones choice.
Your argument suggest that if your neighbor is murdered from domestic attack in his hometown and you demanded action that it be resolved, you would now be considered a hypocrite because you haven't served on the police department or joined it...get a fxckin clue!
You and John Al Qerry premise on this is so absurd its laughable.
By the way,Thank you for your service.

Lt. Dan,

If John Kerry wins the election and continues to fight the war in Iraq, as he has claimed he will do, will you still oppose the war? Did you oppose Clinton's wars in Bosnia and Kosovo? I assume you won't answer these questions since I have at least a half dozen threads in the past where you have ignored questions that don't suit you, but it's worth a shot anyway.

And in response to your question, what does a person do who is too old to volunteer for the armed forces? I guess they then forfeit their right to a pro-war opinion???

One of these days, Lt. Dan, you need to type with two hands instead of jacking off with one hand while you punch the keys with the other.
